Project 365 #108 Forrest Hills

This is where I have been spending my afternoons recently, in an attempt to save The Duck family a little money in parking and gas. Its not as nice as it looks.

Project 365 #107 May Day

Wordless Wednesday #2

This is also Project 365 picture #105.

Its one of the last shots of April, a rainy storm coming in.

Project 365 #104 Bettina & My Chair

Bettina & My Chair!

I am very happy that Bettina has slowly gotten herself more acclimated and accepting of us as the months have gone on. Heck, she even lets me pet her now. I am none to happy about how she has taken over my favorite chair in the living room, because she does not move to easily and when she does get off, she makes you feel guilty for moving her.

Mr September 18th-James Marsden

By a vote of 7 to 2, James Marsden eeked out a win over Sol Campbell for hottest guy born on September 18th. Want more? Well after drooling here, I found plenty more at Celebrity Wonder.

Wordless Wednesday #1-Gaia Remembered

Hey, another bandwagon to jump on, as this is my First Wordless Wednesday.

9/11 Sunset

Mother Nature/Gaia came through last night, the day started out rainy and stormy, as it should have been and ended with this beauty of a sunset, also probably how it should have been.

Project 365 #102-Flower Flurries

As you can see, the Pesky Tree does not tend to allow the flower to stay long. But this kind of flurry I can handle.

Project 365 #101-Pesky Tree

As I have said before, this tree is a pain in the neck. It is a haven for birds and the leaves make a mess, etc, etc. But, in April, this tree does its sucking up by making pretty pink flowers.

Walnut Tree I think

Project 365 #100-Who the Hell Knows

Ok, on this day in April, I was lacking in imagination. Bettina was peering through the curtains back at us, but as soon as I moved, so did she, so this is all I could get.

Project 365 #98-Garden Update

I mentioned way back how we had done some actual landscaping out front in our little yard. Well here is an update with all the stepping stones. At least how it was in late April.

Garden Update

Project 365 #97-Tree

I don't have any idea what kind of tree this is. It is beautiful for a few days a year and a pain in the neck the rest of the time. This is one of those beautiful times.

Project 365 #96 Blueberry Cobbler

This photo is actually dedicated to Stacy at Stacy's Mundane 365. She did a post on her other blog about this yummy coffee treat and I just had to prove I had it.

mmm Blueberry Cobblerrr

Project 365 #95 Daffodil

You know I actually had to think about what this damn flower was called. I guess I am not Mr Green Jeans. Anyway, this is a daffodil that made it through the ice storms in April, or maybe May. No April

Project 365 #94-Easter Imagination

Mrs Duck is a whiz at trying to spruce up the mantle over the fireplace. We both think it looks very bare, and while I am in charge of the lighted decorations at Halloween and Christmas, she gets the rest of time. Which is why we had this Easter decoration set up still into late April.

Project 365 #93 Airport Lunch

When you are waiting for a flight, you have to scrounge whatever it is you can. Though, who doesn't love French Fries?

Project 365 #92-Hilton Head Light

The weather turned gorgeous on the last Monday of the Hilton Head trip and we were able to go see the completion of the delayed Final Round of the Verizon Heritage. On the way back to the get some grub, I of course had to take a shot of the famous lighthouse. Yep, sometimes I am such a tourist.

Project 365 #90-Devil's Elbow

Hilton Head is know for its golf courses, there are I think more golf courses in one concentrated area on the Isle of Hilton Head then anywhere else besides Hawaii. But since I was golfing so much, like this day at Moss Creek Devil's Elbow South, I did not get the chance to take a picture. So I borrowed this one from there website.

Project 365 #89-Doors

I might be a junkie for anything Southern, but i think even the doors have a certain class and warmth to them.

At Charlotte-Douglas Airport, even the soap dispensers were cool and clean. A great start to the trip south.

Mrs Duck sometimes moves so fast it is hard to get a good shot of her. Especially when Kohls is involved.

Project 365 #84-Coconut Cake

An Easter tradition in Mrs Ducks Family, as well as mine. Though this one did turn out better then the last try by one of my other family members that will stay nameless. Lets just say it was as hard as a coconut too.

Project 365 #80-Stream

I actually love the way that the water seems to flow out of the leaves like it is on some sort of Rachel Ray swirl of Evoo. I promise, thats the last RR reference for the week.

Project 365 #79-Greatest Soda

And yes, we are still on pictures in April. It takes forever to catch up. If you ever need a morning buzz, pick this carbonated ditty up sometime.

Vault Red

Project 365 #78-Opening Day

Yes, its just from my living room. I am not Rockefeller you know. Interesting also because the guy throwing the first pitch of the year is now the teams closer. Yep, the Phillies always manage to make sense.

Project 365 #77-Meatballs

Or at least Mystery meat, since I can't recall if its meatballs or not. If they are meatballs, they are Mrs Duck's famous meatballs.

Project 365 #74-Bunnies Stomping

Well, you have heard of Ants Marching, this is Bunnies Stomping. Well, its those great jelly suncatchers that cling to the windows, but don't melt to the window so they are reusable. And yes, we are still in the month of March with this.

Rabbits Dancing

Project 365 #73-Necessities

It was a glorious day this day, especially for one of the last days in March. Of course, this peace was disturbed by 10 lawn mowers and leaf blowers and the such. But it was a nice start.

Project 365 #69

Ok, I am cheating, because for whatever reason, I never did take a picture on the entire ride up to my Aunts house. So, this is "borrowed" from the Fredon Twp website, a lovely view of the bucolic and boring Fredon, NJ.

Project 365 #65 Bad Day

I am a good husband. Mrs Duck does not like driving in the snow, so I do my husbandly duty and take her to and from the train when the weather is yicky, or was just yicky. This van sat for not one, but two days in the middle of the road because it hit a telephone pole head on, though it seemed to be a slow speed collision.

But, on Byberry Rd at rush hour, this is just what one needs when they are running late for the train.

Slow

Project 365 #64-Worse then it looks

Yes, this looks like a jagged dangerous icicle hanging from a window. Ohhh scary! Of course, its just a icicle that hung 3 feet above the ground. But, it does have a good stake look to it.

Icicles of March

Project 365 #63-Weather Downturn

If you look a few days back, I have a picture of ducks floating in a lake, looking all warm and plucky. That day in March it was in the 70s. On this day in March, the ice and snow came as we did not break 35. Gotta love the Northeast.

Project 365 #62-Bracketology

March Madness has become a national phenomenom, of course because people love watching amatuer athletes reach for their dream and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that money can be won. Here is when my brackets still looked good in March. And yes, my handwriting is awful.

Project 365 #61-Cousins Frank and Stewie

This picture was taken on March 14th, when it was 70 degrees and just a gorgeous, gorgeous day. It would drop 3 inches of ice, as you will see, just days later.
